Patient Room and Nurse Station Renovation
Project Summary
We provided architectural and engineering services at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center to renovate and remodel an existing sleep laboratory and its nine patient rooms into seven in-patient rooms, two bariatric rooms for the critically overweight and a new nurse area.
The existing double-occupancy sleep laboratory rooms were converted into single occupancy in-patient use and the three existing patient rooms were converted into two bariatric rooms with private toilets. Ceiling-mounted lifts are incorporated into each room for patient accommodations.
